A new project of 60 000 m² in Italia for MICHELIN
Last 18th of March GSE Italia, has been entrusted with the "turnkey" detailed design and construction of the new distribution center of MICHELIN in Cuneo.
The building has been designed by the design office I.Ge.S. located in Mondovì (CN), and is dedicated for the storage of tires, offices and service rooms.

Due to the construction of the new building on a production site fully operational, GSE Italia will implement specific procedures and temporary works for the safety and most efficient distribution of vehicles and employees of the existing plant, as well as of those operating for the construction of the new building.
The contract includes also several preparatory works that will be realized to guarantee the access to the site, the rain and sewage water management to the connection with existing networks, and the decommissioning of a portion of unused railway approximately 3,200 m long.
The contract includes also the extension of the finished product warehouses of Alessandria, for a total built area of about 5,500 square meters.
This project marks a further step in the collaboration of Michelin by GSE for the construction of its industrial premises started more than 30 years ago and in several countries.
As well this project constitutes a new challenge for GSE Italia in the realization of large scale projects in very short time.
Both sites will be indeed completed within the first months of 2017.
