The new head office, which brings three French entities of the group under one roof, now welcomes 130 employees in an innovative building that stands out both by its method of construction and by the new professional practices it fosters

GSE is the only French construction firm operating as a general contractor in China. In 20 years, GSE build 1.5 million m2 in China. Our customers in the country include Alstom, Air Liquide, Adidas, Becton Dickinson, Bestseller, GGB, IKEA, Mercedes-Benz, Schneider and Walmart.
How to establish a French company in China: "It’s complicated: unlike in other countries of the world, you need special licenses to operate in China," explains GSE’s CEO Roland Paul. "You have to create a joint venture or a wholly-owned foreign enterprise (WOFE) with your own capital, then receive a construction license."
A WOFE allows you to work with foreign customers and with joint ventures with a majority foreign ownership. But not with Chinese customers.
After seven months of works involving a complete makeover and a major extension, Auchan reopened its supermarket in Villepinte, the first of the French international retail group to include all the new Auchan concepts.

Simpler review procedures for administrative authorizations:
“Currently, the review of applications for building permits and ICPE environmental authorizations are conducted simultaneously, but by different departments: two separate procedures, one for building permits and the other for the operational permits falling under the ICPE regime. There should be a single procedure through a one-stop service: a single department should review each application. Another area of improvement is that investors often need to carry out impact assessments that should have been considered by the local authority at a prior stage, when the business park was designed - which is the common practice in Germany,” said Roland Paul, CEO of GSE.
GSE employs 352 men and women from 17 countries. Spread out between France, Belgium, Germany, the UK, Italy, Spain, Romania, Hungary, Poland and China, they are united in their drive to meet companies’ real estate needs.
Many profiles sought in France and Germany : After hiring more than 30 people in early 2017, GSE is pursuing its recruitment drive to support its entities’ development – particularly in France, Germany and Hungary.
The profiles sought are sales representatives, commercial engineers, research engineers, project managers, technical managers, financial comptrollers, management comptrollers, and one CIO.

It’s in Poupry, north of Orléans, that GSE is building France’s largest ever logistical platform. The floor area of the warehouse itself will be 131,600 m² – i.e. 18 football fields – on a tract of land covering the equivalent of 50 football fields. The works will last 16 months, including 14 on construction, and will involve 250 people on site: twice as many as is usual for this type of project. The plot of land is larger than the whole village of Poupry.

Located across 170 hectares acquired in 1954 by Pernod Ricard’s founder Paul Ricard, the Domaine de La Voisine has been completely redesigned to combine tradition and contemporary spirit within an abundance of nature. Designed around “moments” – work, relaxation and convivialité – the campus includes a reception area equipped with sports facilities, a learning centre with a 350-seat auditorium and 500m² of various meeting rooms, 60 bedrooms and the historical château, which has been totally renovated, where drinks, dinners and receptions will now be hosted. In compliance with the charter of the Regional Nature Reserve of the Haute Vallée de Chevreuse, the Domaine de La Voisine is committed to both HQE Aménagements (High Environmental Quality Developments) and “Very Good” BREEAM certification, led by GSE.

It aims to match the level of competitiveness of other European countries, for example by increasing the maximum cells from 6,000m2 to 12,000m2.

This project, started in mid-April 2015, will be delivered in March 2016, 39,000 m² achieved in 12 months. This project was developed following the concept Modulog, intelligent building system based on a set of pre-established loads that optimizes delivery times and garantee an efficient warehouse with a very competitive price.
This logistics platform of 43,000 m², recently delivered, inaugurated Tuesday, 16 June.
For the realization of this building, Schneider Electric chose GSE for its recognized experience in logistics real estate and thus ensure a result that meets their quality standards in terms of design and functionality in the respect of deadlines.
GSE conducted a building certification process and obtained the high performance HQE.
